Camy Tang here!
I got the whole concept of a “word” for the year from Marilynn Griffith. I haven’t always had a word for the year—I didn’t last year—but this year, I’ve been feeling like God wants me to focus on the word “blessing.”
But not receiving blessings—rather, being a blessing. I’ve been reading this word a lot lately in my Bible and in conversations with people and in my devotional books. I want to be a blessing to people this year. I’m not sure how, but I’m going to look for ways and I’ll be open to what God wants me to do for Him.
How about you? Any “word” for your year?

I love it! That's a good word.
Mine is DECISIVE.
Hmm. How about two words. New beginnings.
My word for the year is 'yearning'. I love using it in my books and I know that for me I yearn for what isn't seen and yearn for what might be. It's a tension that goes back and forth as I live my life as a Christian, wife, mother and daughter.
Great word choice, Camy. Mine is peace. This year I'm going to make an effort to keep peace in my life and not allow the little problems to get me upside. Case in point, today I discovered a squirrel has taken up housekeeping in our attic. :) I refuse to give up my peace for a destructive critter. :) On another subject, I recently purchased Genmaicha tea at our local Asian market, at your suggestion. I am LOVING it! I love the roasted rice aroma when sipping. Thanks!
Bethany--Excellent word! And posted with much firmness. LOL
Kim--I love that! Sounds hopeful and happy.
Carolyne--I've noticed that theme in your books!
Jill--You'd think peace would be easy but it's hard to stay peaceful! LOL Great word. And I'm so glad you're liking the genmaicha! You can also get it online at adagio.com. That's where I get mine since our Asian market is so far away from our house. :(
Camy
Cami, I always pray I'll BE a blessing too!
