New Release tomorrow!

Terri Reed here on this abnormally hot Oregon day. Whew!
I have a new release in July that I wanted to share with you all.
Joint Investigation is the second book in my Northern Border Patrol series from Love Inspired Suspense.

LONE AGENT
Under other circumstances, FBI agent Samantha Bennett might welcome a bit of backup—but not from an overprotective Mountie. She's been on the trail of a serial killer for six months and no one has ever taken the case seriously…until now. When Royal Canadian Mounted Police inspector Drew Kelley saves her life, he decides that the hunt for "Birdman" is his problem, too. Together they begin a cross-continent chase to stop the madman before he strikes again. However, Samantha fears her growing feelings for the lawman may weaken her focus, or worse—put Drew directly in the killer's sights…
Northern Border Patrol: Keeping the U.S.–Canadian border safe

To celebrate my new release I'll be guest appearing on several blogs throughout the month of July. If you would like to see my blog schedule you can stop by my webpage to sign up for my latest newsletter.  I have several interview type blog posts as well as sharing some behind the scenes information about this book and also sharing a recipe for a Summer Fruit Treat.

Also stop by my webpage sometime between July 7th and July 31st and comment to enter in a giveaway I'll be doing on my webpage.

And stop by Goodreads to enter to win a copy of Joint Investigation

I can hardly believe July is upon us. I have taken four writing related classes this year and have more coming up. I believe strongly in continuing to improve my writing and my research.  I just finished a class through Writers University-- M.A. Taylor's "Law Enforcement: Making Your Cop Real".
It was fascinating. The instructor was informative and knowledgeable. She went the extra mile for the students by contacting other agencies with questions from the class.  She even contacted Scotland Yard!

I'll be heading to New York City in the later part of July to attend Romance Writers of America's national writers conference in the heart of the city.
Then in August I'll be heading to the mid-west for the Writers Police Academy conference to learn more about the men and women of law enforcement, emergency personnel and fire fighters. I signed up to ride in a fire engine. I wonder if they'll let me drive it?

I wish you a wonderful, safe and exciting Independence Day!

For the last six days, romance authors of all shapes, sizes, and genres gathered at the Romance Writers of America conference.  I was in Love Inspired bliss.

The say a picture's worth a thousand words, so here are my favorites.

Missy Tippens takes a photo during the general meeting.  Tina Radcliff sits next to her.

Lacy Williams attending the same meeting.  Look at that smile.

Danica Favorite looks chic as she attends the Harlequin E pajama party.

During Love Inspired Meet and Greet, various authors pay rapt attention to what's going on with the line.
It's all good!

San Antonio!

Terri Reed here it actually Monday night but I'll be on a plane at 5am PT and won't have a moment to write. I'm on my way to San Antonio along with 2000 authors for the annual Romance Writers of America conference.  One Wednesday night is the Readers for Life Literacy signing.  There will be over 500 romance authors with books to sign.  If you're in the area, stop on by! We'd love to see you. Here's the link to find the out more about the signing  http://www.rwa.org/p/cm/ld/fid=564

I'll be signing my June release Undercover Marriage, book six of the Witness Protection continuity series from Love Inspired Suspense.
THE BABY MISSION
An illegal adoption ring—using kidnapped babies—has to be stopped. To gather the necessary evidence, U.S. marshal Serena Summers goes undercover—as a married woman desperate for a baby. Her "husband" is her own partner, U.S. marshal Josh McCall, whom Serena blames for her brother's death. How can she act like a loving wife when she has to constantly fight her feelings for a man she isn't sure she can trust? The closer they get to unraveling the dark web of deceit, though, the more being Josh's undercover wife means putting her life—and future—in his hands.

The Big Apple and RWA 2011!

By Debby Giusti
This time three weeks ago, I was touring New York City and getting ready for the opening of the Romance Writers of America National Convention. Writing conferences are always fun. I learn so much from the workshops as well as chatting with industry professionals outside the regularly scheduled programs. The best part, of course, is seeing old friends!

One of the highlights of my trip to New York was visiting the Love Inspired Office located in the Woolworth Building, along with Love Inspired Historical author Janet Dean. Commissioned in 1910 by five and dime mogul Frank W. Woolworth, the 57-floor skyscraper--one of the oldest in the city--is a National Historic Landmark and sits across from Park Place and City Hall, not far from the Brooklyn Bridge. The lobby, shaped in the form of a cross, has a vaulted ceiling with inlaid mosaics that reminded me more of a gilded ballroom than an office building.
Entering the narrow wooden elevator that was state-of-the-art in its day, Janet and I headed to the 10th floor where Executive Editor Joan Marlow Golan (photo above: Debby, Joan, Janet) gave us a warm welcome. Senior Editor Tina James (below center) showed us around the suite as she explained the steps our manuscripts take from submission to publication. My hat's off to the entire Love Inspired team and the fantastic books they publish. Seeing their small offices and the piles of manuscripts waiting for review made me appreciate them even more!

To learn more about my time in NYC, visit http://www.seekerville.blogspot.com/ tomorrow, July 20. I'll be giving away a copy of THE OFFICER'S SECRET, the first book in my Military Investigations series, and THE OFFICER'S SECRET T-shirt, featuring my Prayer for Our Military. Size XL, it's perfect for a pool cover-up or nightshirt.
Wishing you abundant blessings,

Debby Giusti

Hello everyone, Terri Reed here. Not sure what to blog about today. I find blogging rather hard at times. I mean what do I have to say that would be of interest to anyone? Yes, I write stories, so I obviously have lots to say but that's fiction. In fact, I'm working on my nineteenth book, which is due on March 30th, so maybe that's why I'm staring at the blank blog page with glassy eyes and absolutely no idea of what to say. Hmmmm. Let's see...
Spring is coming, though yesterday after a mostly sunny day it snowed last night.
This coming weekend we observe daylight savings time, which in the fall I am thankful for, gotta love an extra hour of sleep! But in the spring, we lose that extra hour we've become accustomed to. Ugh!
I watched part of the Oscars this last Sunday night. Only part because I forgot it was on. I was disappointed that in the memoriam they didn't honor Farrah Fawcett. I know, I know, she was more of a TV star than a movie star but still...
I thought Sandra Bullock's acceptance speech was very sweet and funny. I like her as an actress. I've heard that the Hurt Locker is a very well done story. One of these days I'll have to rent it. I did see Avatar, though not in 3D--I get motion sick easily. It was a fun and visually exciting movie. I enjoyed UP, though I did cry. I'm such a sap.
In two weeks the Public Library Association is having its convention here in Portland Oregon. I'll be signing in the Romance Writers of America booth on Friday the 26th, right after Christina Dodd http://www.christinadodd.com/(whom I'm a big fan of). Imagine masses of people in line for her that will all wander away when I sit down to sign. LOL.
My newest release coming up in May, COVERT PURSUIT, will be part of a promotional package that Harlequin will be sending out during May through September. I'm excited to see what they do with it.
Over at the Craftie Ladies of Suspense, http://ladiesofsuspense.blogspot.com/ we are doing a St. Patrick's Day continuing mystery. Starting Monday March 8th through the 18th, each day a Love Inspired Suspense Author will post a piece of the story. Its a fun endeavor and a bit challenging. We did a Valentine's Day mystery that was well received. And over at the Craftie Ladies of Romance, http://craftieladiesofromance.blogspot.com/we'll be doing an Easter Romance. Stop on by and check us out.
Well, as I said, I'm in the throes of a deadline so I best get back to it.
Have a blessed week everyone!
