What Not To Do with A Romance Book

And that would be accidentally put it in the washing machine....

Yes, it was trade-size
Yes, it was a foil cover
Yes, it got paper resin all over my clothes
Yes, I had to wash them all again
Yes, luckily it was a book I'd finished

No, I'm not sure how it got mixed in with the laundry
No, I'm not going to rebuy the book

At the Osback, busy mom house, I wash all kinds of things: legos, Pokemon cards, money, candy (sometimes this is bad), and rocks.

What's the strangest thing you've washed?

Pamela Tracy writes for both Love Inspired and Harlequin Heartwarming.  Her next book What Janie Saw will be available on May 1st.

Funny you should ask that. My husband's favorite game is what pair of pants can I stuff a paper towel into the pocket where the wife will not look and wash it. It's a game we've played all our married life. He won this round.

I say, "ARG."
LOL. Who thought up the game?

Jenny,
You're a woman after my own heart. There's not one inch of my house that doesn't have a lego man lurking.

LOL, I can happily say that I've never accidentally washed something THAT big! I love washing money, because...then it's mine. Hee, hee, hee. Strangest thing I've washed? resistors...an electronic component...hubby is into building circuit boards. ;)

Sandra,
I've never washed a resistor. My husband's a plumber, I do get washers quite a bit.

When I was younger someone in my family left a Gideon Bible in their pocket and it accidentally got washed - Mom was highly unamused! - and a few years ago, my brother's touchscreen phone went through the cycle. I've never had a full-size novel sent through the wash, though!

Ketch,
I'd cry if I washed my phone. I was annoyed at the book, because it meant more work, but luckily, I'd read the whole thing :)

I have washed just about everything that can fit in a pocket. From keys to receipts to even sweet notes from my students, nothing is safe in one of my pockets. I just never take the time to look in my pockets after I take them off. When I washed my third cell phone in a pocket, I stopped shoving them into my pocket. Now, I place important stuff in my bra. The "girls" never fail me. Nothing ever gets washed in my bras!
