Time to Read--Merrillee Whren
Before I became a published author, I was a reader. I read different kinds of books--classics, mysteries, thrillers and non-fiction, but when I discovered romances, I knew I had found my favorite reads because they always have a happy ending. I don't have as much time to read anymore because the time I used to spend reading is used for writing. My to-be-read pile is so huge that I'm afraid I will never find the bottom of it.So when do I have time to read? This week. I'm looking forward to the next couple of days. One of our daughters is coming for a visit, and we will climb over the sand dune in the photo below, put our chairs on the sand close to the water's edge and read.
You might find us looking something like this, although we will probably have an umbrella to shade us from the sun. If we get too involved in our books, the umbrella will keep us from getting a sunburn.

I love to read on my back screened porch...IF it is not too hot in GA. I can rest my eyes by watching the birds, too. Enjoy your daughter/visit.

I love to read anywhere! My favorite place is on my back patio. I can listen to nature while I read. Calming, soothing, wonderful!
Enjoy your Daughter's visit! Mine is coming in October with my two grandchildren. They'll visit for 6weeks before moving to Sweden for 3years. My son-in-law is in the Air Force and will be working at the US Embassy in Stockholm.

Love to read in bed at night. That's my "me time" before I go to bed. After a stressful day I look forward to that time.

I carry a book in my purse so if I get a chance to read I'm ready! As far as a favorite place I'll have to say my deck.

I love to read anywhere, anytime! Right now I'm on vacation but it's just too hot where I am and I find I'm not as excited to read because it's uncomfortable but I still sneak it in before bedtime because it's a great time to unwind before sleep! Valri

My front porch is a great place to sit in the sun this time of year. on hotter days out the back there is an undercover area thats nice to read also.

I can never read in bed because my hubby is always trying to sleep and he hates for the light to be on, even a book light.

I like to read either on a porch, deck or balcony. Someplace that I can pause periodically in my reading and look out over the scenery or to watch people.

I love to read anywhere. I like to read in my recliner and in bed. Just give me a good book and I can read anywhere.

I read anywhere, and I read almost anything. I have since the age of 3 when I discovered books! Thank goodness for a mother who didn't know she shouldn't try to teach me to read. I buy books and I buy for my Kindle, and that goes with me *everywhere* just in case there are a few extra (and precious) reading minutes in the day. I often stay up 'til the wee hours because I can't put the book down until it's finished!

I love to read anywhere, but my favorite would be in bed at night. It's a great stress reliever, but sometimes I get a book that I just can't put down and then I have a hard time waking up in the morning.
