Spring?

Good Morning, Jenna Mindel here, arriving a little late and wondering when Spring might arrive where I live. The last two days in Northern Michigan have been lovely - with temps climbing into the mid 40's. But this morning? We plunged right back down into the single digits. Brrrrrrr. It's been a cold winter, and I think the critters are getting tired of the cold as well. The picture above was taken last week while two deer stood in my driveway after helping themselves to my birdfeeder seed.

Personally, I love winter. I love to snowmobile and snowshoe and walk in the snow, but this winter has been bitterly cold making it difficult to get outside. It's been a good year to stay inside and write, so I really can't complain too much. Even so, I look forward to the warmth of spring and the flowers and even the yard work ahead.

What plans do you all have for Spring?

I feel for those of you enduring your Never-ending Winter. Out here in Northern California we had the Winter That Wasn't. Oh, there have been a few storms pass through, but our drought was officially declared weeks ago. We have precious little snow pack, and our reservoirs reached record lows. I wish we could take some of the rain and snow off your hands.

Yes, the past two days in Michigan were typical - sunny, warm and melting snow(MUD) yesterday and today we wake up with 4 inches of snow! I also love winter - but agree that it is hard to do things when it is SO bitter cold. Thanks for sharing the pictures!

Hi Jenna and ladies, I love winter as long as I don't have to go outside I'd rather observe the winter from the indoors. :):):)

Keli I'd try shipping the snow to you but I don't think it would make it. Enjoy the warmth for us.

Keli,
Thanks so much for posting. The good news about our harsh winter is the Great Lakes have frozen over 90% and more which will raise our lake levels. Wahooo!!
Wish we could send you some.

God Bless!

Thanks for stopping by. Ah... so you got hit with the snow? It stayed way south of me up here in the Tip of the Mitt. :) Be careful out there.

God Bless!
