Looking For Dr. Right? In Paradise?

Janet Tronstad here. I don't know how many of you have been able to visit Alaska, but I am heading up there this Tuesday with my parents. I'm particularly excited because it is the setting for my latest book, Dr. Right. I have been in Alaska several times over the years and am pleased to have had a chance to write a book in that setting. Sometimes the setting is more important in some books than others and with scenery like Alaska a writer just has to spend time talking about the mountains, and the rich greens of the foliage, and (at least in my case) the friendly moose who wanders through town. I know Alaska isn't the only beautiful place, so I'm going to ask you what you would consider the optimum setting for a romance? Hawaii? Paris? Glacier Park?

I have this book on my desk as I write, Janet, and since I married "Dr. Right," I'm looking forward to reading about that kind of character! (Except mine is in Indiana.)

Sometimes the setting makes for almost another character. But romance happens in all settings. I do like to change up settings once-in-a-while.

Emma -- thanks for reading my books! Glad you enjoy them!

Crystal -- How lucky you are to have your own Dr. Right -- you'll have to let me know how my imaginary one compares.

Katie and Charity -- thanks for entering our contest!

And, Merry, Hawaii is so romantic. I'm sure others would pick that as their favorite, too.

I am reading it right now!! Of course, I read all your books. :D

Romantic settings? Ireland, Scotland, anywhere in Europe.

Lol Jennifer.."anywhere in Europe"!

I think I'd partially have to agree with Jennifer...I LOVE Europe! I've been over there 5 times now and been to eleven different countries, lol! It's amazing, beautiful, and very romantic.

However, sometimes I wonder if the down-to-earth, "normal" setting is more romantic. I mean, what are the odds you're going to find you're Mr. (or Dr.) Right in "paradise" like the ones mentioned above? So then I wonder if "home", Vermont, college in NH, or wherever you may be is really your paradise : )

Just some thoughts! Sorry for rambling off to you : )
I really wish I'd started reading this series when it began! Now, I'm behind...this is like the third month? And I didn't buy any of the previous...*sad*

Ah well, we'll see what we can do!

Short, sweet, and to the point post, Janet. Thank you!
Hannah

Jennifer -- oh, I love Europe, too. I went on a cruise with my sisters and niece last summer and our favorite city was Venice. Super romantic!! Especially the gondolas!

Hannah -- You do have a good point.

The Rockies. While on a visit to Alberta a few years ago, my sister and brother-in-law took my husband and I to the awe-insrpring, breath-taking Rockies.

It is one of those places that you have to see in order to appreciate its beauty.

Renee-Ann -- I agree. The Rockies are magnificent. I love going to Glacier Park and the mountains there are incredible.

Barb -- I think I'd fall over in a dead faint if I saw the man on the cover of my Dr. Right book walking down a street here in Alaska!!

DarcieMarie -- Glad you like the Dry Creek books. My last one was 'Wife Wanted in Dry Creek' which came out this past spring.
