Schools across America are closing for the summer over the next few weeks. My kids came home with their summer reading list and it got me thinking about what books I want on my summer reading list. I always have a huge TBR (to-be-read) pile of books so I always fight with myself about buying new books. But summertime is a great time to stock up.
Years ago I used to love taking books on vacation with me. When I traveled, I had a couple of books in my overnight bag to keep me company during down time. I usually ended up buying more.
This year I have a bunch of books on my list. Aside from checking out a few of the new Love Inspired Historicals and some of my favorite LIS authors, I'd love to pick up another Karen Kingsbury book and maybe another Dee Henderson. I've been meaning to try a book by Loraine Snelling. (Can you believe I've never read one by her?) I had the opportunity to meet her last year and she was such a hoot!
What's on your summer reading list this summer? Drop me a post and let me know. I could always use a few more books on my list to keep me company.
Until next time, many blessings to you. Lisa Mondello

I think I've figured this out
Okay, I'm learning here. I posted a comment and it went somewhere. I'll get the hang of this yet.
But I'm glad to be here with all my friends from Steeple Hill and Love Inspired.

Book signing treat
I had to share this book signing treat.
Three generations of the same family
are all fans of mine and wanted their picture
taken with me. What fun!
Can't believe I did it!
Hey, I actually succeeded in following the directions and posting my photo to the blog!
This is my new publicity photo, taken by my oldest daughter, who is a photographer. Usually she takes pictures of children, but I thought she did a great job with a slightly older subject! (I did ask if she could take a few more years off, but I guess this was the best she could do.)

Valerie Hansen made it!
I can't believe I actually made it. I'm here! Wahoo!!!
So glad to have a place to check in and say hello now and then. Now, all I have to do is remember how I got here in the first place. :)
New Love Inspired Site.
I love the new site. And I love seeing my book covers so nicely displayed. Good job, Shelley. Now I better get to work. LOL.
I missed the first day of our Love Inspired Authors blog, having been away at the Pennwriters Conference. The website looks great, and I know we're all going to enjoy having the chance to share with our readers in this way.
I had a good but exhausting time at the conference, as always. I especially enjoyed getting to spend some time with one of my favorite inspirational authors, Loree Lough.
Have a good one!
